Irish Talent Attracts Limelight at Oscars

Irish film talent has attracted the attention of both the Academy Awards and the Sundance Film Festival this year. The film “Once”, (co-presented by the San Francisco Irish Film Festival and the San Francisco International Film Festival last year), has been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song. Other nominations included Irish-child actress Saoirse Ronan for Best Supporting actress and Seamus McGarvey for best cinematographer in the feature film “Atonement”.
